Cephalotus flower stalk

I recently bought a small Cephalotus and over the past week or two a flower stalk has started growing from the center of the plant. The stalk is about an inch tall right now and my question is whether or not I should let it flower.

I know that letting some other CP's like venus flytraps flower can cause them to die and since my cephalotus is pretty small should I cut off the stalk?

First of all, I don't have any cephs, but I hate to see an intelligent question go unanswered, so I did a quick search through the ICPS forum devoted to the species. I read nothing there to indicate that flowering kills older, larger plants. Your plant, however, is still small, so I think it wouldn't hurt to cut the flower stalk so it can devote more energy to growing leaves and traps.

If any expert or experienced ceph growers disagree, please set us straight.

A very interesting question. I put a lot of energy into nursing young Cephalotus plants along, so I appreicate your anxiety. Can you post a picture of the flower stalk. I'd love to see what it looks like.
