Give it a shot and see how it works. I would make a custom reflector for it though. The light might get really hot inside the stock lid for the aquarium.

If the light puts out the 6200lm it says it does in the sunlight correct spectrum you might have a really nice light.

I have used a 400watt Metal Halid lamp for years but if I can get a CFL that is the equivalent of 400watt MH lamp, I will be switching my lights over.

A little tip in case you haven't already done so. Line the outside of the terrarium using the dull side of aluminum foil. This will help to keep light from escaping and it will be more concentrated on the plants.

Jmoore, the light I mentioned is a 400 watt equivelant, but is 6000 lumens really enough, people have told me, 6000, 12000, 15000, and then some say the wattage is what I should worry about. What do you think?

Wattage I believe is the power consumption of the light. Lumen is how strong the light is.

For example a incandescent light at 400 watts converts most of that power into heat and puts out little light. I do not know the exact ratio.

That's one of the reasons why people use MH (Metal Halid) and other HID (High intensity discharge) plant specific lighting.

Follow the lumen and the color temp of the light not the wattage. The closer to sunlight (5300K-6500K) color the better because plants use light with in the blue spectrum for photosynthesis.

I have used CFL lights for years and have had good results but they do not put out enough lumens to grow bigger plants. So as far as how strong the lumens should be, I do not know but 6000 would be a good start. I wish I had a light meter and I would tell you how strong my 400watt MH light is. I would guess it is close to 6000 Lumen.
