I keep missing the open flowers

so i keep going out to my cp garden to try to get some pics of my sundew flowering..and the darn thing is either not opened yet..or i guess its already flowered...is it only open for so long? is it better to go out in the Am or pm..that kinda thing

Sundews tend to open from mid-morning to early afternoon.
