Hi I have just started some seed of the Red. Problem is I live in Alberta Canada, I'm not shure on the border issues. I also am not sure how fast they grow they just sprouted.

    carnivorousplants:

They might have lost interest after two years though. I have not seen any of them post in a long time.

Nope, I just noticed they posted last in 2005 lol. I have not seen them since then. In any event, after this long I hope they found their seeds.

AS coincidence would have it, FlytrapL8E (Lois) sent me a couple red capensis last year. They're in the pot to the far right:

hi firelock I live in Windsor Ontario Canada . I ordered carniverous plants last May from Hawiian Botanic's inc. 6011 number7 road Ritchmond BC. V6W-1E8 . They offer a good selection of CP'S . For Example 1 D.Capensis red nerrow leaf 10 dollars and A D.binata 10 dollars . U can also visit their web site for a list of plants and shipping info as well . Good luck and happy growing . Scott

Hi doowop, thanks for posting that site, looks like a good live-plant site for us Canadians. BTW, if you are into Drosera's, they grow quite quickly from seed, and if you join the International Carnivorous Plant Society (US $25 membership), you can order packets of seed from their seedbank for US $1 each (packets have plenty of seed in each for lots of plants). Right now, they list 18 different species or cultivars of Drosera.

Your more then wc Don . It would be the best time in 30 yr's to deal with joining too since the Canadian dollar is almost at par with the Amarican dollar . Ty I'll take u up on it . My Drosera Binata typical T form will be appoaching dormancey soon . I'll take some root cutting's to ensure i'll have some to enjoy well into next yrs growing season ,My Sarricenia Venosa will also be going dormant soon . It clustered into 3 new plantlets .I live in zone 6 the venosa survived all winter on the window cill . . The Sarr. Purpuria ,Venosa I bought at home Depo . In the past i;ve seen the lance leave for sale there too . Along with the Venus fly trap typical . Also they have sold D spathulata as well . And Nepenthe's Coccenia there too . My Capensis red form narr. I have 2 that are still thriving . Are both growing well .They were plantlets last May and have gotten bigger since . Well good luck and happy growing Don . I'll write a follow up . ty Scott
