Okay, I know, my terrarium is nicer looking than my plants... but I'll get there!

How does one define a terrarium? Does it have to be covered? If not, would this constitute one?

I think yours is more of a VIVARIUM... and very nice!

Terrarium: The most important aspect of a terrarium is its relatively high humidity, maintained either by using a container with only a small aperture or by keeping the container covered. The humid atmosphere enables mosses and other sensitive woodland plants to flourish.

Vivarium: A vivarium is an area, usually enclosed, for keeping and raising animals or plants for observation or research. Often, a portion of the ecosystem for a particular species is simulated on a smaller scale, with controls for environmental conditions.

lleopardggecko, is that a ten gallon tank? if so what type of light fixture do you have and what type of light bulbs? your plants are gorgeous! I wish my cape sundew's tentacles would reddin up like those you have in the upper left corner.

Those are absolutley beautiful PLants you all have there, my terrerium as a pot of 4 Cape Sundews, a pot of three Fork-Leaf Sundews, a pot with a VFT, A Purple Pither Plant this is about 2 years old, and two Sweet Trumpets that are also about 2 years old. The bottom, back and side panels are all covered with foil and I have a removable cardboard covered in foil so that they get a lot of light. the thing I lack is the all mighty camera lol/

That is a Cephalotus, you can tell by the black and white operculum, I agree that's a beauty.

To answer the question above: Yes, that's a Cephalotus. It's a clump that I got from Black Jungle almost a year ago. It's since turned into probably a dozen or so plants, maybe more.
