I was excited when I saw that the new pitcher on my S. purpurea ssp. Venosa was turning red, but now I see a problem. In the middle of the two red circles, there is brown, which leads me to believe that this pitcher is dying! Anybody have an idea what the problem is? Any suggestions o help save it would be appreciated! If it helps to know, this pitcher did catch a huge beetle on its own (it was brownish, and very long).
