What is that growing medium? I'm not recognizing it. Anyhoo, pygmy sundews grow well in a 2:1 mix of sand to peat (rinsed well). They do fine at window sills or under artificial lighting, open tray method. Do you know which species or cultivar that you will be getting. Here are some pictures to illustrate:

Wow, beautiful pictures!! I just put some fish gravel into the container so that you could get an idea of what it looked like inside... Have nothing ordered yet. Didn't want to buy anything unless I was sure I could grow it in there. Thanks for sharing with me.

Barbara, I think the container you have will be great. It has a big enough hole for air circulation. If you hang it up in a room that has a fan in it, it will probably do well.
