moss a killer???????

please i have quite a few very sad meat eators is this moss harming them??? i was told to put hot water over moss and would kill it but what would happen to my plants..thank you

DO NOT USE HOT WATER. Whoever told you that is an idiot. The moss won' t hurt anything. You could gently peel it away if it bugs you but I'd leave it for now.
