How much sun do they get? Not sure how fast seedlings take but I know VFTs take forever.

Sarracenias take several years to grow noticably larger after the first year. If they are still alive, your doing a great job. I have had some Sarracenia hybrids that I germinated this January/February and they are still tiny too. The first year, dont expect them to grow more than an inch tall if that. Next year, they will grow maybe a couple inches in size at most. The third year, they will about double their size again. You should have adult plants in about 4-5 years if all goes as planned. You might not even be able to tell what species they are for a couple years if they are surprise seeds like I got. Sarracenia purpurea are one of the slowest growing Sarracenias, so patience is key.

Thanks a bunch...they're still slowly kicking out new stems and looking alive and well if tiny, so I guess that's good news.
I'm in no rush, so I guess I'll just keep on keepin' on with them until they grow. (I'm learning this patience thing on many fronts...I've got some little tiny rhodoras and epigea and gaultheria - not carnivorous, but similarly fussy..that are a study in slow motion)

They're getting a good 14 hrs. of sun at least...I had them under lights at 16 hrs. during the winter, but now they're outside in a good spot.

I have one hybrid Sarr that was producing 8" pitchers at 8months after germinating. That was an exception. Still, I have found that Sarracenia seedling seem to go through growth spurts. Each new leaf should be a little bigger (sometimes a lot bigger) than the last. When they slow down or stagnate, repotting them into fresh soil (an appropriate Sarracenia mixture) will generally get them going again. Not sure what in the old media causes them to slow down, but the fresh mixture almost always gets them going again. Keep them actively growing over this next winter (under lights), and you should have decent size plants by next spring.

Now if you keep them under artificial lighting, 24/7, supposedly by a year they have a few year's worth of growth. I read this in a discussion forum, written by a guy who has grown CP's for over 4 decades.
