S. purpurea rate of growth?

Hi

I managed to germinate a nice bunch of Sarracenia purpurea from seed last summer. I kept them under grow lights during the winter, 50/50 sand/peat soil, evenly moistened with rain water/melted snow or reverse osmosis water.

They really don't seem to be growing much at all...new stems have come up, but they're still mostly under an inch. It's been almost a year since they germinated...any thoughts? Are they growing too slowly? What is the normal rate of growth?
