Venus Flytraps are bog plants from North Carolina, so their natural habitat is peat moss bogs that are constantly moist from the water pools that the moss often actually floats on. Placing the pot in a 1/2 inch to 1 inch tray of water would be the preferred method to water the plant with. Make sure that no more than 1/4 of the pot is in standing water as Venus Flytraps like water, just not waterlogged in it. You can alternate with top watering until the tray starts refilling from runoff and just topping the tray up. Both methods are helpful in different ways for the plant. One more aspect of Venus Flytrap health is light. They tend to need far more light than a typical window sill houseplant. They are more akin to garden plants that need full sun to really thrive (being distantly related to cabbage and spinach, no joke). In household settings, you need to be careful of mold and weakening of the plant due to less sun than it would prefer, yes even in a directly lit window. Window glass is made to reduce UV light and some of the intensity of sunlight, so a plant in a window is still not getting the full intensity of the sun's rays. If you can, placing it outside might be helpful, however; be cautious of animals eating the plant and heat levels over 100 degrees. Also, inside a house, you would have to fake a dormancy period in winter or the plant will weaken and die after a year or so. Outside in North American climates, it will naturally go dormant in winter and survive light frosts in a pot, living for over a decade in such conditions. It can be grown indoors, but is just much more likely to die from mold, infection, or just plain weakening from light starvation, even for those of us that have grown them all our lives.

Im sorry if i cant understand your question but the best type of pots are the one with holes in the bottom and you put a saucer of distilled water under so it can soak in it.
