X Ventrata in trouble

i had this plant for four years, it has two stems one 3 foot and 1 foot long. the 3 foot growing tip is dying and the stem also looks so 2. the othere 1 foot stem doesnt look to great either. should i trim the 3 foot or leave it and see what happen since the plant was recently repotted becuase of incorrect media causing root rot or should triming it will cause more shock for the plant ?

People take leaf cuttings all the time, so maybe a trimming wouldn't be a bad idea.
