I haven't bought ventrata from them but I have bought neps from them. For plants that size damage is expected. They do their best and I got lucky with no major damage on my plants. But expect a few pitchers to be maimed and some more to be missing.

Whether they come with pitchers or not isn't really a problem. You may get a beautiful plant with beautiful intact pitchers with their roots intact inside a pot from a grower. They normally do come with pitchers.

About a week or 2, all the pitchers will be dead because the plant went into shock. Caused by the change of the environment. For example your house is drier then the greenhouse the nep was growing in. Or change of light.

IÂve visited California Carnivores, shook hands with Mr. DÂAmato, bought to neps from him. And despite all the care I took from damaging my plants I bought. It dropped all the pitches.

Usually that will happen to neps, but the plant will eventually recover and depending on the species and if their roots are disturbed, it may take 4 weeks up to 3 months.
