Venus Flytrap Progeny

Hi Everyone,

I need some help with my Venus Flytrap. It sent up a stalk and I let it bloom hoping for seeds. ( But instead it is pregnant, lol.) It has produced a tiny vegetative apomixis. I need any advice on exactly how and when to remove the bulbil for planting. How large does the bulbil need to be. As I understand it the fact that the plant chose this type of reproduction may in the long run kill the mother plant. So I would really like to save this youngin'. Also does anyone know if it will produce seeds or will the seeds be fertile? I'm assuming not, even though I did the paintbrush idea of helping it to self pollenate.

Gee, you rescue them from the cube, give them love, care, the best of soil and water and then one day your faced with a crisis . . .

Thank you all for your help,

Nycti
