| hello,this is my first time on this forum.i recently bought a sarracenia with the red veins and dark red tops. i have been giving it distilled water as needed.my husband watered it one day with the hose and we have alkaline water.now the tops of the cups look burnt .should i cut these out,if so how far down the leaf do i cut?if i need to cut all the way down to the pot there will be no leavws.any suggestions?thanks |

| Yeah, they reacted to the water. Rain water is also good for them. Generally speaking, I snip that which is dead plant material and leave the green and red alone. |
