I don't know much about repotting but I do it alot and my carnivores don't seem to notice it.Just tease the soil away from the roots very carefully.
Try the keep it in some of the same soil and the same conditions to reduce shock.

Move the plant into the new soil with as little disturbance to the roots as possible. That will shorten any transplant shock time. They should recover fine in any case.

To add to Tom, what I do is first prepare the new pot with a depression in the centre to accommodate the "plug". Then I gently coax the plant and soil from the original pot out, as one unit, and emplace in the depression. Then I water it to meld the soils and close the gaps.
