Drosera venusta like cool conditions, not hot,so I would suggest giving it some shade.If it is wilting alot, I would give it high humidity.I know sundews don't need humidty but it works for me.If you just bought it it could be recovering from shipping shock.I also read that drosera venusta like it really wet.But don't give it full sun.It would grow better as a windowsill plant.

Wow your plant is beatiful petiolaris. The lower one is how mine looks now. I guess I gave it too mauch light and heat, because it's turned bright red and won't create dew anymore. I changed a few things to cool the tank and provide some shade. Lo and behold I think it's growing a new leaf. The rest of the lower leaves are in terrible shape however. Should I cut off the lower stems? I'm afraid they might cause rot or mold if I don't.

I tend to snip that which is dead foliage, assuming I can get in there, without butchering the plant.
