Has anyone ever grown cobra lilies from seed? Was wondering how difficult. Couldn't help it, bought some off ebay.. :)
These are going to take a long time to grow.
I planted some seeds last year, and 2 of them just started to sprout now.
One of them died, due to out of town for a week.
The last one I have is left in the green house. Hopefully it doesn't die off. Winters coming.
They are easy to start but I find them hard to grow after the 2nd year. Very picky plants.
I've been looking through google but most websites are just a copy of the wikipedia page and not very detailed. it says they like to have cold water streaming over their roots, so do they need to be planted in like a pond or fountain?
Some people rig up some sort of pump. That's too much bother for me. GREAT plants but their roots are picky.
