It is always good looking to have some Sarracenias and Droseras in the same pot, but I've never heard such a soil mix for any Sarracenia or Drosera. What I use and what half of people use is 50% peat moss and 50% perlite. This is good for most of Droseras and for all Sarracenias. If you can't find any of these supplies try Www.Cobraplants.com they're a VERY GOOD nursery I've purchased all my plants from them and their perfect.

Most experienced growers use a 50/50 mix of milled sphagnum (peat moss) and perlite for Sarracenia but some use a course sand instead of perlite and others use pure LFS (dead sphagnum). For most Drosera, experienced growers use a mix of peat moss and silica sand.
I'm not too sure I would put them together but that depends on the variety.
You can probably find everything you need at a local nursery except for the silica which can be found at swimming pool supply stores as a filter media.
You would probably get 10 times the product for the same price or even less than you would pay at Cobraplants.com (no telling what the shipping would be).
I would not fertilize drosera and haven't feed my sarrs at all this year. They are outside and most of the pitchers are full of ants and many other insects. I've never seen them this full before so feeding them (which I have done in previous years) could actually deter other insects but that's just a guess.
What kind of drosera do you have?

Thanks for the tips. Peat is not available here as it is a protected material (environmentally sensitive)and I have never seen perlite so it looks like sphagnum and silica sand. I was going to use ordinary sand but that might contain lime so thanks for that one especially.Still not sure about the raisins, however...;-)

They are carnivorous not vegetarian. If you must feed the sarrs use pelleted fish food or crickets from a pet store. You can also use Osmocote time release fertilizer in the media but only for the sarrs and only a pellet or 2 every 3-4 months.
