Okay, I see a picture once I pasted it to the optional link URL. Anyways, I would look at the plant when it is totally dormant and see if it has obvious growth points. If there are, then you can take a sharp knife and seprarate them.

In my opinion, a Sarracenia never needs to be divided unless you want to do it. You can jest keep putting it into a larger container when it fills the one that it currently occupies.
If you want to divide it then Jim's instrux are fine.

I agree with Lois, unless you're just acheing to divide it, just up the size a notch.

(for me it will probably be from yogurt containers to cut off ricatta cheese containers.)

My two little sarrs will likely be fine in their yogurt through next year though. Got some pics of em if anyone wants to see.
