Pretty much all the ones I've seen that come in the death cubes are started in plugs that are placed in the pots...
If you squeeze the sides of the pot to loosen the soil around it, it should just pop right out...

I would recommend (My way of doing it / Probably not everyone will agree / But it works for me) cut off all the traps, wrap the crom in some peat moss, place it in a ziplock full of peat, wrap the bag in something like a towel & put it in the veggie drawer in your fridge till it like Feb.

Repot it in a mix of peat & sand, water it, put it in a nice sunny spot & you should see new traps starting to form in about a week or so...
