It is juvenile sphagnum moss.
Let it grow and it will eventually get larger

Here's a picture of the "good" moss, live sphagnum. As someone pointed out in an earlier thread, it can be different colours such as red or gold. Anyway, here's a closeup of some sphagnum growing in a pot with Sarrencia.

hmmm. Well I already pulled some of it out on instinct. I'll let the rest grow and see what happens. I'll see if I can post a picture as soon as my camera is off the fritz.

Unless you went out of your way to purchase the live LFS or bought the dried stuff and cultivated it or had some send to you, it is far more likely that unwant moss is growing. It can start out looking like small spiral shaped greenery. I'd bet you have unwanted moss. It may be something that is called "clubmoss". Do a Google on it or Bryophytes.
