Mites and aphids both have an orange variation, so it might be either. Both are very tiny and like to bite on plants.

You do not have to uproot your Flytrap, but you can soak it, pot and all, in a bucket of mineral free water for a couple days. Some people use a 3 day guideline and some people soak for 24 hours, then take the plant out and then soak it again for another 24 hours. The main thing to ensure is that the soil does not float away during soaking. Other methods of control include water based sprays like malathion, pyrethrines, and ortho products. You can also use neem oil based insecticides to kill them off. Do not use anything with a soap based mixture and stay away from products that say they contain potassium salts and fatty acids. Those products would add fertilizer to the soil when they break down.
