Which plant eats fruit flies now?

Winter is approaching, and I have a seemingly inexhaustable supply of fruit flies emerging from my compost bins and entering the house. I would like to buy a carnivorous plant to keep their numbers under control. Is it possible to rely on plants to perform this function, or are they only going to eat a few fruit flies and I'll see no reduction in populations? Which plant is most likely to eat fruit flies? It seems that VFTs need bigger prey. Is there a type that is less likely to require a dormant period during the winter?

If the fruit flies don't make it inside during the winter, I figure I'll place the plant near the compost bins on temperate winter days (45 degrees F or so) and let it feed on fruit flies coming out of the warm compost.
