New Sarracenia arrived with mildew and aphids!

| I just got some CP's in the mail, and I have discovered that my Sarracenia has a few tiny milky-white bugs chillin on the outer pitcher walls. Additionally, a few mildew spots have appeared on other pitchers on the same plant. I know these two are sort of related, but even if they're not -- how can I take care of this problem? I don't want to contaminate the container's soil with baking soda or soap. I know that I should avoid tap water and anything with dissolved solids or salts. Please tell me if neem oil might take care of the problem, or anything else that will work. Thanks!

Why not just get a return if you just bought them?

This isn't in a terrarium is it? The bugs may be mealy bugs, dab them with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip. Safers Fungicide should work for any fungus/mold. Bayer rose and flower spray should also work fine.

Schultz' Gardensafe took care of aphids I had. It contains neem oil.

I would return it if possible. You don't want a mealybug infestation. It may cost you more in the long run than just throwing it out and getting one from a more reputable vendor. The fungicide and insecticide if needed will cost more than another plant.
