Dormancy in pitcher plant???

I just bought a pitcher plant and i am a newbie at this but co my sarracenia need dormancy for bigger growth next year or would that be riskey. I can put them in the fridge but they are in pots. or should i just leave them outside I live in Dallas, TX?

I wouldn mulch the ground if kept outside. You get colder than North Carolina. If it were me, I would tote them to the attic for the winter and place them at a window sill. There they will respond to the photoperiod cues as well as keep cool without freezing to death.
