Sounds like Mexican Butterworts. NO FERTILIZER! Distilled water or rainwater only. NO TAP or bottled water. This time of year they put out thicker, leaves and need less watering. Keep moist but not waterlogged. Bright, indirect light.

Thank you. We have spring water but I can get distilled.

There seem to be more than one rosette in the pots. Should I repot them? I assume they like warmth so the table is probably the best place as long as I try to keep them out of the direct sun, which only hits it sporadically.

I appreciate the advice. I didn't give them much fertilizer.

They do well at sunny window sills or under artificial lighting. Can you post a picture? They can take a wide range of temperatures. You can repot or refrain from doing so. Here's what I have, as a visual:

I will see what I can do. I don't have a camera ready to use but DH's netbook has one although I haven't tried that yet.

These look very crowded compared to yours. Is the gravel topdressing?

(I have lightstands too if they could co-exist with the violets.) I'm still trying to get new stands (one a T8) adjusted.

I do appreciate the help. My only other carnivorous plant experience was a fly trap so many years ago it doesn't count.

i had no idea butterworts came in those colors, can you tell me what some of the pink ones are and the bottom right two in the first pic. my experience so far has been with highland nepenthes, sarracenia and one lone little drossera rotundifolia. i just got some pygmy drossera gemmae from a very generous gardenwebber. the more i learn about the different cp's the more i love them.

The soil media is APS (Aquatic Plant Soil), which should be availale at local nurseries / greenhouses.

The color was achieved through a combination of grow rack lighting (Grolites) and being next to glass doors that are south-facing. Believe it or not, there are those out there whose plants have even more color than mine. They have better technology working for them!
