What to do with Purple Pitcher Plant now that winter is arriving?

Hi,

I have a venus fly trap that I've had for a few years which I know to leave outside since I live in North Carolina. It has been outside, sunk into the ground, every winter. Come spring, I put it on top of a bowl of water all summer to keep it moist.

Just this year in mid-summer, a friend bought me something called Purple Pitcher Plant. I have no experience with this. When I received it, it had lots of dead pitchers and only two small tiny ones growing. After giving it ideal conditions, It has exploded in size.

However, winter has arrived and my searches aren't really helping me and I'd feel better getting a direct response to my question. Do I leave it outside with the venus fly trap to go dormant in winters or does it not require a dormant period? I have a greenhouse in which it could go in if it does not require dormancy and can keep growing all year long.
