Pitcher plant questions

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I just need a couple of answers. I bought this pitcher plant awhile back and I believe it's some type of tropical pitcher. It's growing great and I absolutely love it. The other day I recently purchased another tropical variety. What I need to know is how do I separate the pitchers from the main growth? It appears to be overgrown and doesn't allow water to pass to the roots. Would I be able to use sphagnum or peet moss for the new pups? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Where did you get them? Unless you paid an arm and leg for them it sounds more like Sarracenia with that kind of compact growth.

We need to know the exact plant name/type. A photo would help.
