Post transplant/split mess

Hi all. Since I recently had a mishap with my shamrock (R.I.P. Patty O'Brien), I decided to transplant my D. Adelae into a larger pot. Anyways, as I'm sure you can all attest to, I started off with 2 or 3 plants, and now had near 10 after a few short months. Everything seemed to go well, I kept much of their roots intact, etc. Only now their leaves are all covered in perlite, perlite dust, and peat moss. I tried pouring water over the leaves, and nothing really happened. Any ideas?
