Plants for my highland terrarium

I have finally created my highland terrarium with its potting mix for neps and the right humidity. It also has special holes which lowers the temperature naturally at night. I know, I used a thermometer lol. Anyway, any suggestions on what species I should put in it. I wanted to put in a N. Rajah, but it takkes too long to grow and its pitcher wouldn't fit in my small terrarium. I am thinking of N. talangensis since it fits my terrarium right because it is small and also it looks cool with its small pitchers.

Did you just fill the bottom of the tank with the soil? What is this mix?

Raja would fit in there for a while since it'll take so freakin' long to get to where it is too large. How large of a terarium is it? Are you looking for just one plant in there? I don't know that that is even possible. You get one...then you're hooked! Must...have...more...neps....

Yeah, I agree with you, i looooooooooooooove neps. Anyway, i use a bark, sphagnum, and perlite mix. And no. my sphagnum is not a top dressing, it is part of the mix. My terrarium isn't very large. It could probably only hold one mature pitcher plant and have enough space and whos pitchers are not as big as rajah. talangensis is the perfect highlander for my terrarium and meets every everything that my terrarium can handle.

yeah, i just planted it in my small terrarium, its really slow growing so i'm hoping for the best

i'll post a picture later when it has pitchers

i know how you feel carnivorousplants being only 12 myself. go to www.cobraplant.com and click on their in stock button. if you scroll down to the tropical pitcher plants for your home, you can click on n. rajah and see a young plant. they sell them there.

Wow, I feel old now. A ten year old, a twelve year old, and a thirteen year old and I am older than all three combined... I remember when I was just starting off with CPs when I was 10.

Just remember, being a "nerd" now means that you will make a lot more money later on in life. That education helps.

wow!! i did not worry how many other young growers were on this forum! i thought i was close to the only one!all i have is a n. sanguinea but i'm getting a nepenthes alata and hopefuly getting n. ceasar and n. mirabilis soon!! and yes, being a nerd probably does get you lots of money in our tech savy world. also, this is way off topic but does anyone have n. ampularia for sale or trade?
