I would have said that it was a ventrata, but either way it's an easy Nep. Yes, it will grow. You will need to have it in a pot or vessel of some sort that allows drainage and lighting for ~12 hours per day - or it will stop pitchering Below are a couple approaches:

I've got it under T5 bulbs and I keep it (the room) pretty humid. Thanks for the names - will make looking other info up easier.
