inorganic potting medium

I am about to receive my Nepenthes x Miranda. So, I've been reading up about types of potting medium, which all sound good. Now I've come across "Inorganic" medium. It sounds like porous rock, pumice, etc. and nothing organic. Has anyone ever tried this medium? I would like to do this the right way, since I am a newby at Pitcher plant culture. Thanks.

All you need is peat moss and Perlite and maybe a little orchid bark. All these materials MUST be fertilizer free so do NOT buy Miracle Grow brand stuff.
