I did a stem cutting from mine. Cut the main stem into sections that contained 3 nodes. The bottom part that went into the rockwool I used a razor blade to cut small slits and then dipped them into rooting hormone. In a month or so they began to root. Your mother plant should also send out more shoots as well. I can't remember if this plant was a pain to get going off cuttings or not but it would be smart to sterilize your tools before you get cutting so diseases or bacteria aren't introduced.

I would like to try your method. What is rockwool, and where can I get it?

I've been trying to root Nepenthes cuttings in water with no success at all. Some cuttings have been going for more than 8 months. They continue to thrive, but they don't send out roots.

I root mine in the same mix I grow them in. 50/50 Perlite and Peat moss.
