Hola- My Nep. Miranda is in the GH and it is growing new traps, but I have not checked for flowers, so I'll check tomorow to let you know. Do you cut off the old traps now? I am in zone #8 Thank you.- Luis A. Valera
Any shots of the whole plant? I picked one up a few weeks ago and its doing amazingly well. I'm glad to hear you keep yours outdoors for the winter as I was going to take my chances and do just that.
Hi Chris. Congrats for the lovely plant. I also have a N. ""miranda"" (correctly it name is Nepenthes maxima X northiana, because the name miranda dont have any importance on taxonomy) Mine is a male and has 6 y old. I can bet yours is a male too, because the flowers are on bunches of two. Well, like you, I was anxious too to see what the flowers looked liker for the fist time, but since then it has flowered several times and i always cut the flower spike as soon as possible, because the flowers delay the growing of the plant and weaken the further growths. Well they have a reddish colour and have a weird smell. I dont know how to post pics like you do, but if i knew i would put a pic of mine so u can see it. Good luck =)
