possible leaf burn on my miranda?

| One of the leaves on my n. miranda is developing a reddish cast to it, in the area where it was closest to my 100 watt (equivalent) compact florescent bulb. Is this leaf burn or should I be watching out for a different problem? Will it go away? I've readjusted the angle and distance of the bulb to be on the safe side... |

| How close was it to the light BEFORE? It may NOT be leaf burn at all. They will turn that color with a bit too much light however. Don't panic! Backing off the light is a smart move for now. |

| That particular leaf was only 3-5" away. It's about 8" now, and I changed the angle so leaves further away get the most direct hit. No panic, just curious :) Is this a permanent thing or will it eventually green up again? |

| The burn is permanent, but it won't hurt the plant if you have solved the lighting distance issue. |

| Bah..you're just jealous. And I didn't even mention my noid death cube nep has pitchers on every leaf! :p When I got miranda months ago she had 3 huge pitchers than ran their span and went away. The there was the repotting where I discovered she's actually conjoined twins! Hints of pitchers from a plant I got at the grocery store are a treat! I'm still waiting for them to discount the other one they have..its pitchers are long gone and it looks miserable, but I'm not shelling out $25 for a half dead nep. Not yet anyways ;) All the other critters seem to be doing well..judith finn is technically alive but not doing anything. She's my special ed case. Seeds haven't sprouted yet, but I think I'm getting a handle on the whole patience thing lol... |

| I've discovered balance. First I let the kids try my patience, then the critters and then the plants. At least they don't talk back or poop ;) |
