Keep on growing them under artificial flourecent Lights. VFT seedlings may skip 2 winter dormancies until they are 2 years of age. mine are still currently growing since a year and a half ago:

Keep growing them the same way as you have been growing them. Dormancy is the least factor for vft seedlings. No worries.

And while I totally agree with xymox with this, especially since I am currently doing the same, I do wonder what happens in nature to the first year seedlings. What is their mortality rate?

What happen in Nature.......While I realize my conditions are a poor replica of the VFTs natural environment, My experience is this...

I have several seedlings that are one, two and three years old. I just let the seeds fall in my (over crowded) CP pot when they are ripe. Many germinate the first year and are dozens of very small VFTs by fall when I allow the entire pot to go dormant. With no actual numbers to back the following claim, I'd guess about 90% die by spring. A few more seeds sprout each spring and then the previous falls surviving seedlings and the new sprouts grow all summer. I'd say I get about 2 or 3% survival of the seeds I let fall/plant in my CP pot at the end of the first year. By year 3 I'd say survival is down to, at best 1%.

Now Understand I do NOTHING to help them along, nothing at all. I just let nature do her thing. Currently from the seeds from 15 mature VFTs, I have 5-10 three year old seedlings, 30-40 two year old seedlings and dozens of less than one year old seedlings.

If you want to actually culture your VFTs from seed ask what xymox does and then follow to the letter that advice. xymox has a very green thumb when it comes to CPs.
