I am a big recycle person, but I always wash everything that comes from the house. However, I am planning on NOT reusing some of the plastic winter sowing containers and want to put them in the recycle bin but DON"T want to wash all of the dirt out. I rinsed them in some rain water barrels, but there is still a lot of soil in the seams. Does anyone know if they process these dirty items? I know people collect bottles from alongside the road, so it would seem ok to put these containers in without washing. Comments? Oh, I am not putting this on the winter sowing thread since that covers the entire country, and recycling rules and regs are different in other places. These items I am talking about would normally recycle here.
