WANTED: Cleome seedling(s)

Posted by cannadoit 7b/8a (My Page) on

I can not for the life of me get the seeds to germinate.
I know if I plant them in the fall it will work...but, that doesn't fill my desire to see some gorgeous spider flowers right now! lol

Would anyone be willing to trade me a Cleome seedling or two for something? Postage.....seeds....a plant....I'm willing to give almost anything. lol

Thanks for looking!

RE: WANTED: Cleome seedling(s)

How long did you wait for the seeds to sprout? I planted some in a flat and it took about 4 to 5 weeks, but I finally have a few showing.

RE: WANTED: Cleome seedling(s)

Mine seem to straggle in over a course of a few weeks once the soil warms up. Once you have one go to seed, you should have them forever, lol...

RE: WANTED: Cleome seedling(s)

I didn't have good luck with them until the ground was really warm. Then I had lots of sprouts. First bloom today!
