We will be having a plant swap in the Lower Cleveland County Township #3-Grover AREA.
If you would like information on the location or more information in general please email me and I will answer any questions you may have.

September 12th
From 11:00am to 2:30pm

It will be opening at 11:00 pm we will end at 2:30 pm or later if we are talking lol.

Schedule
From 11:00am to 11:45am we will do set-up of those coming in for lunch and set-up of their plants. IF you are coming for lunch PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

From 11:45am to 1:00pm or so we will have a picnic type lunch we will share a list of foods that will be coming so we do not end up with lots of one item.
PLEASE LIST WHAT YOU WISH TO BRING FOOD WISE SO WE CAN MAKE A RUNNING LIST OF WHO AND WHAT FOODS WILL BE THERE! IN THE FOOD POSTING THREAD. I will starting one.
IF you are coming for lunch PLEASE LET ME KNOW. If you can not bring a food item plates, cups, forks, spoons and napkins are appreciated too.

1:00 to 1:30 side trades and set-up for those who didn't show up for lunch.

1:45 until all the plants are gone PLANT SWAP.

ANY TIME REMAINING AFTER THE PLANTS ARE GONE WILL BE FOR CHATTING IF YOU WANT TO STAY A BIT LONGER!

Everyone is welcome. PLEASE Bring Plants and seeds if you wish to trade seeds after the Plant Swap is over or during lunch! Please pot up your plants a few weeks before and make sure they are watered well prior to the swap, we want happy plants for the trip home.
PLEASE make sure all plants are well rooted no-one wants a plant to perish later due to lack of a good root system.
Perennials ONLY for fall swaping unless you have made side trades for them, it will be too late in the season to enjoy annuals at this time!

If you can make it and are making plans to join us please email me to confirm you will be coming.
Also IF you are making side trades please make sure you can come if for some reason you can not make it after promising plants please make arrangements for your plants to make it to the swap. THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!

Please bring any tables and lawn chairs you may have! I do not have enough of these. THANKS SO MUCH!!! Also remember to TAKE yours with you upon leaving.
I look forward to meeting you! Hope you will make arrangements to join us this fall.

:) Fran

Are you talking about me?!

I cannot believe that aren't any other gardeners who are not able or don't want to drive all the way to Raleigh or High Point!?

I am planning to be there! ;)

Hope I will have some plants left the bugs and the heat are taking their toll this year, but I should have a few scraps left!

YES, I was talking about YOU LOL. I wish more people would show up too, I know some do drive from this area to Raleigh and High Point, I wish they would be interested in one closer to home. MAYBE if I keep hosting eventually we will have more people who would actually show up here.

Frances, I would love for you to be able to come!!

Maybe I should start listing what plants showed up here and some MIGHT just get interested in them then, you think maybe?
I don't know what to do to get folks to come.

Been a while since I was on here... do I have to say why? Seems I am always busy!

I'll probably pop in with a few things and Carol might want to go. I fully expect you to sing me happy birthday though... or not lol.

I have a handful of things I can bring. Of course, there is the list but I haven't prepared anything in particular so you'll have to let me know ASAP, just in case it isn't prepared, if you want it in any kind of stable condition by then. I know you guys wanted some of that white sedum but can't remember if we discussed anything else. You'll have to remind me if we did.

Tomorrow is the day! Here is what I am bringing - I hope it generates some interest!

2 - Variegated shell ginger Alpinia zerumbet 'Variegata'
1 - Tricolor Ginger Stromanthe sanguinea "Triostar"
3 - Angelonia Purple Stripe, nicely rooted cuttings, blooming
1 - Green Elephant Ear
1 - Lantana New Gold
1 - Lantana Red Bandana, small rooted cutting
1 - Salvia Black & Blue, nicely rooted cutting
1 - Red Shield Hibiscus, small from seeds
2 - Celosia Flamingo Purple, small from seeds

I think that is everything that I have! It's a pretty good assortment even though it is small!

You didn't give up did ya Fran?

Who wants some... Monkey grass? haha.. yeah, just kidding.

I would write a list but my brain hurts and I really can't remember all I have out back. I haven't heard anything so I guess I am just going to pull a few things together. I have some that have been growing in pots all season that can go.

Alas, I was the only one who showed up for this swap and most of the plants listed above and the extras that I did not list came home with me. Maybe next time....

Fran was a gracious hostess even though fighting a case of brochitis. She has been unable to post due to internet issues.
