Community garden plots in Cary?

Hi,
I would like rent a plot at local community garden for 2015 Spring. I did contact city for a plot for which I was told is only allotted for 55+ age individuals. Is there any other option? I would really appreciate your feedbacks.

You might consider Cary's Pocket Community Garden. It is in downtown Cary on Dry Avenue. The model for this community garden is different from most. All the work and produce is shared between the members. There are no individual plots. There is a fee of $100 for the year and a portion of the produce gets donated to the Interfaith Food Shuttle to help families in need. I'm currently a member. You can search "Car'y Pocket Community Garden" on Facebook and find the group page.

Anna, there is a community garden in Morrisville that is near much of north west Cary. If you are in west Cary and interested, let me know and I will find out the details.

Thank you both. Ferroplasm--I did contact cary pocket. As you said their model is different and they do not allot individual plots.

ralphw--I live closer to Morrisville. I am interested in details. Is Morrisville community garden, city owned? I would sure appreciate more details. Thank you.
