Most of the garden centers in Cary are not focused on vegetables or herbs and I don't know of any feed stores but there might be one on the outskirts of town. There used to be organic growers showing up at the Cary Farmers Market at the downtown trainstation - I don't know if they can help you but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

As far a baby chicks the only place I know of is in downtown Pittsboro which isn't that far from Cary. I've never been there myself so I don't know their name or address but they advertise every spring that they have chicks.

You can find love fowl 4 sale on Craigs List on the farm/garden link. Also there is a really exciting fertilizer that Lowes just started carrying by Epsoma
that you can use like osmocote only its organic. Look on the label for the contents,all kinds of good stuff. It even has the 7 micronutrients in it.There are 2 of them Plant Time and Holly Time 1 for shrubs and 1 4 veggies.
Also there is an organic gardening class this Sunday in
