If so, what did you think of it?

If you mean 'A Garden of One's Own' by E. Lawrence. I have read it and I found it slow going due to her use of botanical names of plants (I never studied botany or Latin in school, wish I had now) so I kept either my laptop (google searches became very common) and/or a good botanical reference. But it is nice to know of plants that are tried and true for southern gardens.

I was talking about No One Gardens Alone: A Life of Elizabeth Lawrence by Emily Herring Wilson.

I read all things EL.

I liked the book. Realized that I romanticized her over many years - was a little sad - very much as I felt when I read the colletions of letters.. She stilll gives me great pleasure - I think she wrote beautifully-just a little too early to be apreciated.

Why did the book make you a little sad?
