| Is it a good idea to prune honeysuckle? When? I have Alabama Red, Major Wheeler, Mandarin and our masthead Goldflame. Also an all yellow one I can't remember the name of ...John something.
The Alabama Red is the most vigorous, blooms all the time, but it looks particularly winter worn. |

| I only grow Major Wheeler and I prune it throughout the year when it gets in the way. I would think that with most of them you'd want to wait until they are done flowering. |

| Thanks, John. The red ones seems to be ever-blooming, but the others have a definite bloom period. I will do as you suggest. |
