Yup, this grass is practically indestructible once established. I had several clumps that I only watered the first year in the ground and they took off and prospered quite nicely until I dug them up to plant clematis.

I have two clumps in full sun. One is very dry and one is at the edge of the rain garden and can get a lot more water. The rain garden is just slower to drain, but it drains. Not standing water.
