asclepsia tuberosa seeding

Is a cold period necessary for germination of buttefly weed? I gathered some last fall and did not think to refrigerate them. What should I do: I know several of you know, so thanks!

it helps. why don't you winter sow it in a pop bottle or such? if you can't do that you can try some of it the normal way.

I have only wintersowed them but you could do cold stratification in the frig and then sprout and grow them on in the shade maybe.

Here is a link that might be useful: Seed Germination Database

They don't need cold stratification. I've seen them germinate right in the seed pod during the summer.
