Is a cold period necessary for germination of buttefly weed? I gathered some last fall and did not think to refrigerate them. What should I do: I know several of you know, so thanks!

    it helps. why don't you winter sow it in a pop bottle or such? if you can't do that you can try some of it the normal way.

    I have only wintersowed them but you could do cold stratification in the frig and then sprout and grow them on in the shade maybe.

    They don't need cold stratification. I've seen them germinate right in the seed pod during the summer.
