Vegetable plants for spring planting in the Raleigh area

This week I found the lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage plants I have been hunting for my spring garden at a great price at Campbell Rd Nursery on Tryon Rd. near the intersection with Buck Jones Rd on the Raleigh - Cary line. Six packs of these plants are $3 each and flats of 36 plants are $15. They also have these plants in individual 3-inch pots if you only want a few.

I also saw in their greenhouses about a dozen varieties of small plants of tomatoes and peppers plus eggplant and herbs in six-packs at the same price. As soon as I get the cool weather plants in the ground I plan to buy some tomatoes to pot up for early planting. I want to try Terenzo this year, a container-type cherry tomato that won the 2011 AAS Award, and they have the plants for about the same price as the seeds cost at some of the mail-order nurseries,
