If you've never been to the Mountain Garden Club plant sale in Highlands, NC, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 29, and be there. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and it's held at the Ball Park on U. S. 64 just east of downtown. The proceeds benefit horticulture scholarships and other community non-profits.

This year is the 28th annaul sale. There will be several thousand plants, all hand-dug from local gardens and repotted for sale, including sun and shade perennials, bulbs, heirloom tomatoes, and herbs. There is no admission fee.
