Lowes is offering free trees for Earth Day

For anyone that is interested, Lowes is offering a free tree for Earth Day.

I was there this morning and they were offering Grand, Fraser and Douglas Fir trees.

I am a little bummed as I did research when I arrived home and see these trees do not grow well here in the SE.

Does anyone have any experience with growing these typs of firs in the Carolinas?

I thought I would try to grow them any way.

By the way, I have no affiliation with Lowes.

the Frasers are NC's chief Christmas tree crop but in the highlands.
