Hey Guys,

Where is the best place to buy Chaple Hill Grit. I live in Burlington so anything close to Alamance Co works better. Also does this type of rock/gravel compact as well as everyone say it does?

Thanks!

Just about every landscape supplier in the Triangle carries it. I love it. It seems to live up to the hype.

We have it in several of the walkways at the J C Raulston Arboretum. It does exactly what it is reputed to do. It drains well yet does not give way under things like a wheelchair.

Chapel Hill what? What are we talking about here and what is it reputed to do?

Not an expert, but it it is fine irregular gravel that allows water to seep through well, does not wash away easily and stays compacted. It is used under flagstone and driveway as a base, and mixed with soil for permeation improvement.
