Sounds like you got some of my campanula takesimanna second hand. My guess would be rootdigger or vickie- i've brought them to lots of the raleigh swaps. They should have maroon spots on the insides. The flower spikes like to flop a bit if we get storms, so you may want to stake if you care abut that. They can be a bit invasive, but they are easy to pull. They do reseed, so deadhead them. They are semi-evergreen here.
